Federal Projects

Certified Air has been working as both a prime and subcontractor on projects for the federal government for decades. We are experienced in a variety of federal contracting delivery methods, and understand that ultimately, technical knowledge, budget and performance are key factors to building successful projects – whether it’s a new, ground-up Veterans Administration facility in a major metropolis, or retrofit of an occupied immigration/customs facility along the U.S./Mexico border.

VA Hospital - Mather, California

This is one of many Veterans Administration hospitals Certified Air Conditioning has completed. Work included furnishing and installing chiller, cooling tower, large rooftop air handlers, retrofitting large duct and upgrading DDC controls. Working in an occupied hospital environment required identifying significant phasing challenges, and then incorporating them into a ‘critical path’ schedule. Adherence to this schedule – for our personnel as well as other trades – was a vital component of a successful construction project that allowed for minimal disruption to hospital staff, patients and visitors. Contract included providing temporary heating and cooling to all areas prior to start of retrofit.
